Blepharitis is a group of conditions involving inflammation of one or both eyelids. It can be associated with a variety of systemic conditions, including rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis and is also more likely to occur if patients wear contact lenses or have diabetes. In this lesson, we discuss the different types of blepharitis, how it occurs, the signs and symptoms, how it is diagnosed and how it is treated.

I could seriously cry. No doctors I’ve seen in England have been able to do half of what you’ve done for me. Thank you so much.
same with me and i am frustated by i cant open my eyes fully if this all doesnt work i will go for surgery 😢
Oh my! Thank you! I just got diagnosed with this. And your explanation was great. Thank you!
I used pure organic caster oil- first cold compress-hexane free. 1-2 drops each night at bedtime w warm wet rag over eyes. Helps with the itching. Cleared up my problems in 2 weeks😊. Changed my life😊. They told me my eye glands quit working- not so. Caster oil is anti-bacterial anti-viral anti-fungal. Been cleared up for aro 6 months!!changed my life😊
Castor oil kills the mites
It irritated my eyes
Where I get the caster oils? Please reply 🙏 and thank you and advance
Thanks. I'll try caster oil. Because I tried everything for two years and nothing works.
That’s going to clog the pores and make it worse
don’t do that unless you want to have swollen eyelids
This is my favorite in-depth informative video about blepharitis. Thank you!
Thanks so much for your videos. My favourite channel to use to study as a PA student.
Excellent video. I had Covid 5 weeks ago, I believe my ryes were affected. First by conjunctivitis now has turned to blepharitis. Eye dr prescribed antibiotic steroid eye ointment, is helping along with eyelid cleansing pads and Refresh artificial tears
Excellent video!
I like the slide that shows all related causes. There is one cause that is not talked about much is the chemicals irritation. I personnaly have had infiltrates, ulcers and an appearance of veins and redness I have never had, and otherwise in excellent health tracking habits with a journal I might conclude that its due to exposure to scents, or polyurethane finish fumes, or shellac fumes (i use a full face mask with VOC filters).
Warm compresses and an antibiotic ointment is the best.
What is the name of the antibiotic ointment you use?
Always watching every release 😊
I've been using that maybe not long enough tried every thing.
My daughter has had prolonged blepharitis which her doctor worked out to be caused by her new reading glasses. Needed steroids to settle it down. She does have a nickel sensitivity but the glasses are tortoise shell frames which are polymer based so not sure if there is a metal component inside. I can’t believe we didn’t make the connection but neither did two previous doctors!
So what did you have to look for when selecting new glasses?
Great question😊@@MoonManMumford
Thank you so much!
Sebboraic blepahritis life long conditions?
Thank you so much for this video👍
What about false eyelashes? I always wonder about them- especially those left on for more than a day and inflammation. What is in baby shampoo that makes conjunctivitis better? Or is it just the no tear cleansing alone.
Hmm
False eyelashes collect germs for more than a day for sure
I cannot use baby shampoo on my eyelids because it is so irritating if it gets into my eyes.. That could simply be my experience however.
@@ilanamillion8942 I get erythromycin ointment from my dr. to put in and on my eyebrows and eyelids . Only thing that works for me
Girl I’m here tryna figure if it’s my damn eyelash glue or my makeup too , ts annoyinggggg and it won’t go away no matter what I doooo!!
Hopefully somone who needs this sees this, i basically got all symphtoms down in only 2-3 days mine looked just like 0:29
so i used Omega 3 pills 1000mg and washed twice a day with a clean warm moist towel/tshirt over my face once in morning and before bed. it really helped.
also side effect i have less dandruff and less dry skin now from the omega 3 so its a win
My under right eye was swollen. Kinda went away, now my left upper eyelid is swollen huge. Not sure what from. Stings to touch. Been using hot compress with ACV. Tea bags. I’m wondering if it’s from my gfs dogs or cats and pet dander. But this is so annoying
Did it get better? I was thinking about my dog, but I always had dogs
My under right eye is currently swollen. I'm hoping Refresh drops will work or ACV😣
@@KayciazWorld im using antibiotics this week it's getting better
@@desgracado no actually, I had to get surgery so the lump went away, which was a chalazion. My left eye always has a slight ptosis now and ever since then my eye felt more itchy or dry. I was recently diagnosed with chronic Raitis ironically 10 months later, and now, my right eye is swollen up again, but I still wonder if it’s from my girlfriends house as I feel like it triggers it every time I sleep over
i dont even know if i got this. my right eyelid is like sometimes rlly red and is normally slightly swollen. its kinda flakey tho not just around my eyelashes. the left of my bottom left eyelid is also slightly similar but not as bad as my right eyelid
Oh my god sameee!! Did it get better now??

Plus Mast Cell Activation Syndrome! ( I don't think Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is a cause though, is it?)
WHY IS UR VIDEO ON FAST FORWARD ITS DIFFICULT TO CATCH THE INFO 😮
IPL has benefits for this conation
Not to be confused with blofartitis or extreme flatulence. 💨💨💨😳
From your EYES???
@ “Bad Beans”………real bad 🤯
My eyelashes fall
Very outdated. Any dry eye clinic I have seen said baby shampoo is a no no.
I threw out my baby shampoo because it made my eyes sting. Much better to use lid wipes and/or hypochlorous acid in addition to eye drops.
Micellar water mixed with warm water
@@ilanamillion8942ocusoft lid scrub is really good. Especially the platinum plus version.
So what to use
@@desgracado You can buy eyelid scrubs specifically for blepharitis.
Apparently its not good to use baby shampoo nowadays??
Coconut water l promise you this.
too many details and explanations in this video ... go to an eye doctor and have an eye professional doctor tell you the problem!
It's an informative video. I'm sure most will make an eye doctor appointment their next priority. What's wrong with stating the facts and making it available.
Already did, eye doctor and allergist and neither knew anything in comparison to this video
I found the cure
Tell
Ivermectin 2 tablets every week for 2 months, and topical Ivermectin at least 3 weeks every day
